The Dialectic of Remembering and Forgetting in Memory Therapy: Ricoeur in Dialogue with Psychoanalysis

Abstract

Artykuł analizuje odziaływanie przemocy na pamięć oraz bada zakres możliwości aktu przebaczenia w neutralizacji negatywności mających swoje źródło w deformacji pamięci. Odwołując się do filozofii Paula Ricoeura oraz klasycznej psychoanalizy Zygmunta Freuda przedstawiona zostanie charakterystyka niedoboru oraz nadmiaru pamięci wraz z jej wpływem na kształtowanie się opowieści historycznej wspólnoty oraz tożsamości. Przeanalizowane zostaną patologicznej formy pamięci, które – w świetle zaczerpniętych z doświadczenia psychoanalizy mechanizmów wyparcia i melancholii – mogą prowadzić do przymusu powtarzania lub manii. Zestawiając fenomenologię hermeneutyczną Ricoeura z teorią psychoanalityczną, artykuł analizuje różne modusy przywoływania przeszłości oraz zapomnienia. Przedstawia również dynamikę dialektyki przypominania i zapominania, która wraz z całym procesem przepracowania i żałoby może stanowić podstawę dla procesu przebaczenia. Proces ten stanowi zarówno dla człowieka obciążonego winą jak i pokrzywdzonego horyzont odzyskania zdolności do kształtowania swojego życia w oderwaniu od determinującej przeszłości w ramach Ricoeurowskiej fenomenologii człowieka zdolnego.
