Księga Liczb jako końcowy etap w redagowaniu Pięcioksięgu?

Abstract
Wieloaspektowa analiza Księgi Liczb pozwala postrzegać ją jako dzieło bardzo różnorodne pod względem języka, stylu, tendencji teologicznych oraz tradycji prawnych. Z jednej strony dostrzec tu można wyraźne ślady pracy redaktorów kapłańskich i niekapłańskich, a z drugiej – widoczna jest próba syntezy obu tych nurtów teologicznych. Materiał prawny zawarty w tym dziele również przejawia tendencje wyraźnie uzupełniające względem rozwiązań proponowanych w innych miejscach. Ślady późniejszych korekt odnajdujemy również w kontekście samych tylko perykop z Księgi Liczb (na przykład Lb 11–12). Z jednej strony treść księgi przygotowuje czytelnika do wydarzeń opisanych w Księdze Jozuego, a z drugiej – przekonuje go o wyjątkowej roli Mojżesza w realizacji Bożych planów względem Izraela. Wszystko to pozwala współczesnym badaczom zajmującym się analizą historyczno-krytyczną i krytyczno-literacką postulować, że księga ta w znacznej mierze jest owocem ostatniej redakcji tego, co znamy dziś jako Pięcioksiąg, i w swej ostatecznej formie została ukształtowana najpóźniej w drugiej połowie IV wieku przed Chrystusem.
