THE CONCEPT FOR IMPLEMENTING METHOD OF MULTIDIMENSIONAL COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS FOR ASSESSING ELECTROMOBILITY IN SMART CITIES IN POLAND

Abstrakt

Purpose: The aim of this study is to develop a concept for implementing the multidimensional comparative analysis method in the assessment of electromobility in smart cities in Poland. Electromobility, as one of the key elements of sustainable urban development and intelligent management, has gained increasing importance in recent years. However, its implementation in the Polish context requires a comprehensive multi-faceted analysis. Need for the study: The choice of research topic was determined by its relevance. Previous analyses and published studies have focused primarily on issues related to sustainable development, urban mobility, or electromobility. However, theoretical gaps have been identified in the literature concerning a holistic approach—particularly in terms of comparing electromobility within smart cities. Methodology: The research methodology is based on applying the multidimensional comparative analysis method to compare smart cities that have implemented electromobility development strategies. The analysis includes collecting both quantitative and qualitative data, such as the number of charging stations, the number of registered electric vehicles, and surveys of residents and local authorities. Statistical techniques and multidimensional methods will be used to create a comprehensive assessment model, which will serve as a foundation for future actions in the development of electromobility in Polish smart cities. Findings: The research hypothesis assumes that the use of multidimensional comparative analysis method enables a reliable, objective, and multidimensional assessment of the current state and development prospects of electromobility in Polish cities, taking into account various criteria such as charging infrastructure, availability of electric vehicles, urban policies, and social attitudes. Practical Implications: The conducted analysis may provide cities and their local authorities with a ready-made solution for assessing electromobility in smart cities, in the form of a key set of indicators accompanied by the desired direction of their development. Moreover, the study includes a ranking-based assessment of the potential for electromobility development in smart cities in Poland, along with an analysis of the factors contributing to the respective positions within the ranking.
