Абстракт

Dzień dobry, mistrzu (1957) by Armand Lanoux, translated by Hanna Szumańska- -Grossowa, is, for the Polish reader, a challenging biography. Owing to a few but significant changes, certain complex ambiguities, later on analysed in the paper, have been introduced. In the course of the analysis it turned out that these complexities were purposeful measures undertaken by the translator so as to show the performative aspect both of play the biography of Emil Zola and its Polish translation.
