Абстракт

The subject of a discussion in the article are internally motivated names present in the history of Łódź’s naming. The internally motivated names are based on the names which functioned chronologically earlier in the area. Taking into account the relationships between the primary and secondary names, on both formal and incentive levels, two types of internally motivated names have been distinguished and discussed: 1. names having a formal relationship with the primary names, and 2. names having only basic, semantic relationship with the primary names.
