Międzypokoleniowe więzi w argumencie suwakowym

Abstrakt

Argument suwakowy wywodzi długoterminowe zobowiązania międzypokoleniowe z obowiązków między sąsiadującymi pokoleniami. Jest on krytykowany ze względu na ograniczenia wynikające z założeń teorii sprawiedliwości i koncentrowanie się na podmiotowo neutralnych zobowiązaniach wobec przyszłych pokoleń. Modyfikacje tego argumentu oparte na pokoleniowych racjach rodzicielskich stoją przed kolejną grupą wyzwań. Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu zaradzenie tym ograniczeniom poprzez modyfikację argumentu suwakowego uwzględniającą nierodzicielskie aspekty relacji międzypokoleniowych. Modyfikacja ta jest oparta na podmiotowo względnych moralnych racjach, by nie stawiać naszych następców w sytuacji moralnego konfliktu. Uzasadniam, że ta wersja argumentu, choć nie zapewnia pełnej odpowiedzi na wszystkie międzypokoleniowe problemy etyczne, może uzupełniać bardziej rozpowszechnione stanowiska uzasadniające międzypokoleniowe zobowiązania.
