Purpose: The aim of the study was to examine the possibility of using the concept of dignity-based management in so-called intelligent management and to develop recommendations for managers using AI systems in the human resources management process based on dignity-based management practices. Need for the study: Based on a literature review carried out for the purposes of the study, there was a clear lack of publications that would strictly relate to the issue of using the concept of dignity-based management in so-called intelligent management, based on the implementation of AI technology into management processes. Moreover, European Union documents encourage stakeholders to formulate ethical guidelines for entities implementing AI technology, including management processes. Methodology: The study was prepared on the basis of a critical review of current European Union regulations concerning the ethical aspects of the use of artificial intelligence tools and an analysis of the literature on intelligent management and dignity-based management. Findings: The issue of employee dignity was not sufficiently addressed in the analysed European Union regulations on the implementation of AI into management processes; dignity-based management practices can contribute to a more effective implementation of the human in command principle. Practical Implications: A set of recommendations for managers using AI systems in the human resources management process based on dignified management practices has been developed.
