I Seminar of Scientists and Practitioners “Financial and legal instruments in environmental protection”
On 13 June 2024 I Seminar of Scientists and Practitioners “Financial and legal instruments in environmental protection” was organised by the Research Team of the Environmental Law, Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Szczecin and the scholarly journal Studia Administracyjne.
The seminar focused on general principles of financial and legal measures in environmental protection and also on areas such as municipal waste management fees, the legal system of eco taxes, financial penalties for violation of environmental protection requirements imposed by the Regional Inspectorate for Environmental Protection (WIOŚ), an extended spectrum of the impact of administrative fines and also selected financial and legal instruments relating to health resorts in terms of the common agricultural policy and climate protection.
The speakers included specialists in environmental protection: scholars from several academic centres and employees of public administration, law offices and external companies that provide legal counsel and advisory services in strategic management. This event provided an excellent opportunity for presenting compelling speeches, exchanging interesting views and holding heated debates on current financial and legal instruments in environmental protection and relevant challenges.
