Basic information

The journal ‘Acta Politica Polonica’ has been published by the Szczecin University Press since 1988. The issues published until the end of 2015 were named Zeszyty Naukowe Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego ‘Acta Politica’ (and under this title, they were indexed). Since 2019, the scientific journal has been published biannually. The editorial office is located in Szczecin at the Institute of Political Science and Security Studies of the University of Szczecin.

The biannual journal is published in print and electronic versions. It publishes scientific research results. It is also a place for exchanging ideas on various aspects of politics and related spheres of social life. The authors of the articles are researchers from Poland and abroad.

The topics covered in the articles refer to widely understood issues in the field of political parties, political and party systems, media studies, political thought, political communication, the European Union, international relations, foreign policy, political decisions, local politics, human rights, national and international security, national and ethnic minorities and international organisations.

Scope/keywords: political science, international relations, political theory, social and economic policy, political science research methodology, political communication, political parties, party and political systems, local government and security policy.

The journal is scored with 40 points. We are pleased to announce that Acta Politica Polonica has become a member of ERIH PLUS - European Reference Index for the Humanities and Social Science.

Acta Politica Polonica is archived in Polish National Library and its deposit policy is recorded in Sherpa/Romeo.

Full versions of articles published in the journal are available at wnus.edu.pl immediately upon publication and without technology barriers.

The articles are published under CC-BY-SA licence, and the journal editors do not charge for publication (APC).
