Abstract
The article seeks to justify the thesis that the fundamental understanding of theology is as a theory of the most perfect being. A secondary aim is to demonstrate how theology, conceived in this way, can serve as a foundation for various disciplines of human knowledge—formal, natural, and humanistic. The author argues against the notion of theological relativism and clarifies the meaning of the so-called absoluteness of Christianity.
