Abstract
The article presents the results of a survey of the inhabitants of the Lublin Province. It can be concluded that educationoriented attitudes are built into the consciousness of approximately from one third to one fifth of the respondents, thus they are in minority. A complex configuration of factors determines the place of education-oriented attitudes in the social consciousness of the Lublin Province inhabitants. The most significant determinants are the level of education, next, the place of residence and finally, the age of the respondents.
