
The journal Studia Maritima is an open access journal, which means that all content is freely available to users or their institutions.
Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose without prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.
The journal is published under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International Public License (CC BY-SA), which permits the following:

2. Adaptation – you may remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially, under the following terms:
The journal uses digital object identifiers (DOI – Digital Object Identifier) and includes unique researcher identifiers (ORCID – Open Researcher and Contributor ID) for authors of the published scientific articles.
The editorial team of Studia Maritima supports and implements the Open Access policies adopted by the University of Szczecin and its Academic Publishing House, particularly the principles of Open Science in publishing, which ensure an open model of publishing and content distribution, as well as a fully open editorial policy.
