The academic title of doktor of law awarded in 2003 on the basis of a doctoral dissertation “Prawnomiędzynarodowe aspekty migracji ludności (ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem polskiej praktyki traktatowej)” [International law aspects of migrations of people (with a particular focus on the Polish treaty practice)] (KUL); the academic title of doktor habilitowany of law awarded in 2016 on the basis of the monograph “Konsul honorowy w prawie międzynarodowym i w praktyce polskiej” [Honorary consul in international law and Polish practice] (KUL). Since 2019 Head of the Department of International Law and European Union Law (KUL).

Member of the KUL Research Centre on European Law and Migration Policy, previously member of MIGRA-TEAM within the Rule of Law Institute. Member of the Board of the Poland Branch of the International Law Association. Member of the Polish Society for European Studies. Member in the Learned Society of the Catholic University in Lublin. Member of the Maritime Law Committee of the Gdańsk Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Research interests: international law and the law of the European Union, in particular diplomatic law, consular law, international law aspects of migrations, Polish treaty practice, forms of states’ international cooperation and the study and teaching of international law. Author of numerous publications on international law and the law of the European Union.

Graduate of an art history programme at the Faculty of Humanities of the John Paul II Catholic University in Lublin (KUL) and doktor habilitowany (post-doctoral degree) of law and professor of the University of Szczecin. Co-creator of the MIGRA-TEAM research team at the Rule of Law Institute. From 2015 to 2022 - head of the Research Center for European Migration Law and Policy at KUL which publishes the “Prawo i polityka migracyjna” [Migration Law and Policy] series. Coordinator of the Foreigners Section of the Legal Clinic of the University of Szczecin and numerous projects dedicated to helping and integrating migrants (i.a. Support for Voluntary Returns in Lublin Region I and II co-financed with the European Return fund). Author of monographs and publications on migration and refugee law and coordinator of NCN projects, now: “Ombudsman jako gwarant ochrony praw podstawowych migrantów” [The Ombudsman as a guarantor of protection of fundamental rights of migrants”]

Holder of the degree of doktor of law. Member of the Civil and Commercial Law Research Team. Graduate of law and art history at the University of Warsaw. Author of papers on civil law, including intellectual property law, and the law of new technologies. Research interests: intellectual property law, law of new technologies and law of the media. Winner of the first place award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for his doctoral thesis in a competition organized in 2019 by the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland for the best scholarly paper on intellectual property. Awarded twice the title of the Rising Star (2022 and 2023) in the international “Managing IP” ranking for best law offices and traineeships in the area of intellectual property.
