Abstract

The aim of this article is to present and discuss the integrated system of information and promotion of tourism in the region, with particular emphasis on possessing your own website as an effective tool to create a consistent image of the tourist region. The activities of such a portal are shown from the perspective of management, as well as of the main problems, in particular funding method. The article highlights contemporary issues and potential opportunities arising from the needs and demands coming from the market on the basis of an analysis of the functioning of the Małopolska Tourist Information System and tourist website - www.visitmalopolska.pl.
