Abstrakt
Labour productivity is crucial for the development of each country, because it has impact of competitiveness of the economy to other countries. The purpose of this paper is to present the changes in the performance of the work in Poland and in the European Union countries in the last years, in which the first was an intense period of Polish preparations for EU membership and the first years of this membership (2000–2006), and then the duration of the economic crisis in Europe and its consequences (2007 and still). The study used publicly statistical materials and elements of descriptive statistics.
