Abstract

The aim of this article is to provide an insight into the activities carried out by Szczecin’s school typographers holding the title of “drukarzy szkolnych” (school typographers) in the 17th century. This is done in the context of their collaboration with the most important educational institution in the city – the Pedagogium Książęce (Ducal Pedagogium) and later the Royal Carolinum Gymnasium. The article aims to showcase the range of publications published on behalf of these schools and the efforts made by typographers to obtain and maintain their title and printing privileges.
