Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this article is to analyze client expectations regarding modern technologies in veterinary clinics and to assess the potential for implementing intelligent solutions to support their operations. The study focuses on identifying key operational processes that can be improved through digital tools and the challenges associated with their implementation. Need for the study: The dynamic development of technology, rising customer expectations and competitive pressures are forcing a digital transformation also in the veterinary services sector. These facilities need modern management and diagnostic support tools and standardization of operational activities. Methodology: The article is based on a literature review and an empirical study focusing on client expectations and operational challenges in veterinary clinics. The study employs both qualitative (interviews with clinic staff) and quantitative methods (interviews/surveys with pet owners) to gain a deeper understanding of the functioning of veterinary facilities. Findings: The findings indicate that customer expectations and clinic operations are key factors in shaping the digital transformation of veterinary facilities. While process efficiency remains a challenge, the integration of AI and ICT tools can enhance service quality, operational effectiveness and intelligent management. Practical Implications: Understanding customer expectations and operational challenges in veterinary clinics provides valuable insights for their digital transformation. It facilitates the integration of ICT and AI tools, supporting decision-making and enhancing customer service, which ultimately leads to greater competitiveness and improved facility management.
