Abstract

Purpose: This article attempts to critically analyse the solutions, methods and tools used in the project entitled ‘Methodology of teaching human resource management to current and future catering employees’ for the development of students and employees in the field of human resource management. Need for the study: Drawing attention to employee development, and more specifically to the methods and tools used to teach human resource management issues, is particularly important given the target group identified in the project. The absence of human resource management in curricula seems to be a cognitive gap. Methodology: The critical analysis used in the project concerns two methods. The first is the project itself, and the second is a set of teaching methods applied directly to employee development. Findings: The results of the analysis can be used by employee development specialists. Practical Implications: The results of the analysis may be useful in the selection and use of methods and tools in the employee development process.
