What do these numbers mean?

Publications and citations cover records linked to this journal in OpenAlex. H-index is the largest number h of publications with at least h citations each. I10-index counts publications cited at least 10 times. The chart shows citations received in each year; the current year is incomplete. Coverage may differ from WNUS and other services.

The 2-year mean is an OpenAlex metric. It is not the Clarivate Journal Impact Factor.

Abstract

In this article we discuss the uses of the words debil, idiota and moron in the transcripts of the Polish parliament of selected persons. We focus on turn-taking and semantic analyses, which lead us to identify the new function in which these old psychiatric terms appear in general Polish, here: on the example of the Polish parliament. The linguistic data comes from the Corpus of Parliamentary Discourse covering the period from 1918 to the present. The names analysed are those which have become known as key words in the Polish parliament in various parliamentary discussions and debates. On the basis of the KDP data, we carry out not only a statistical and semantic analysis of these words (here: more precisely, a semantic analysis of their realisation in Polish parliamentary discourse), but also - a pragmatic analysis, attempting to determine the purposes and functions of invoking these names in the Polish parliament.
