Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie wyników wybranych badań empirycznych dotyczących wpływu lęku językowego na osiągniecie sukcesu w nauce języka obcego. Badania te przeprowadzone zostały w różnych krajach, wśród różnych grup wiekowych uczących się na różnych poziomach zaawansowania. W przedstawionych projektach badawczych zastosowane zostały różne narzędzia pomiarowe lęku językowego.
