Abstract
The SME is a dynamically developing sector of the economy in Poland. The development of this sector is determined primarily by the goal and strategy adjusted to the company’s development vision, but competitiveness and innovation are equally important. The SME sector faces many barriers to development, which can sometimes lead to the closure of economic activity. It does not change the fact that SMEs have a positive influence on the market economy and help in maintaining the market on the part of the state and organizations running subsidy programs brings added value in the form of lowering the unemployment rate and economic growth
