Abstract

The author of the article offers an interpretation of Marta Markiewicz’s Bez alko i dragów jestem nudna through the lens of language and narrative form. This analytical perspective reveals that the construction of the recovery story is based on the affirmative internalization of therapeutic language and the rhetoric of positive change. The narrative under examination is marked by a declarative tone, which makes the story presented by Markiewicz resemble a conversion testimony. Its one-dimensionality raises questions about the limits of therapeutic language internalization and its impact on the authenticity of individual experience.
