Abstract
The subject of the study is the job crafting issue, currently still (from the point of view of empirical research) to a small extent present in the literature on the subject. The study is composed of two parts: a theoretical one in which the concept of job crafting was discussed and the results of research on the phenomenon and factors co-occurring with job crafting discussed, as well as empirical, including the presentation of qualitative research results carried out in a group of people with higher education. As a result of the research, it turned out that this phenomenon also occurs in Polish conditions. The employees participating in the research undertake activities aimed at adapting the work to their own preferences, although they express the view that the managerial staff and entrepreneurs clearly hinder such activity.
