Abstract
The aim of the article is to signal a new look at the concept of effectiveness, which can be considered in two aspects: organizational and economic. Organizational efficiency defined as the company’s ability to adapt to changes in the environment on a current and strategic basis, as well as to use the resources positively to achieve its goals. Economic efficiency, the point of reference is the efficiency of the company’s operation, management methods (Total Quality managment, continuous improvement, information flows) and adaptation to the requirements and expectations of customers. When can a company be described as effective? If, while making full use of its resources, it is able to satisfy the good for which there is market demand without excessive stocks.
