Abstract

The aim of the paper is to make an attempt to evaluate the transformations in the structure of Polish trade in services in the light of the global economic trends in years 2005–2015. It was the time of the outbreak of the global fi nancial and economic crisis (2008+) which impacted services in a diverse way. Modern services showed a relatively more resistant to the negative impact of the barriers that slow reconstruction of the global economy. This phenomenon was also observed in Poland indicating also adjustment to the growing demand for modern services. However, an obstacle to further modernization may be the traditional character of Polish export specialization.
