Abstract

This article attempts to answer the question if there is a relation between structure and dynamics of employment in the service sector and economic development of region. Linear trend models were used in order to define the changes that occurred in employment in services, whereas the level of development was estimated by using taxonomic method of grouping objects. Empirical numerical material came from Local Data Bank of Central Statistical Office and covered the years 2005–2013.This article attempts to answer the question if there is a relation between structure and dynamics of employment in the service sector and economic development of region.
