Abstract
The aim of the paper is to evaluate how export prices’ fluctuations affected value and dynamics of international trade flows in 2008–2015. The author points to the main factors of trade breakdown in 2009 and slowdown in 2012–2015. The analysis reveals a significant impact of a decrease in export prices on trade value, as in volume terms it has been growing at a similar rate as world GDP, whereas in value terms the growth rate was much lower. The factor of the greatest impact was deflation of energy resource prices, but the declining prices on industrial goods also played a significant role.
