Abstract

The modern economy is characterised by frequent and new changes, which force a completely new approach to the activity of enterprises. In the 21st century, there is no longer any opportunity to build a competitive advantage based on cheap labour resources – it is necessary to look for and acquire employees whose competences will enable companies to function in such a turbulent environment. Therefore, the main purpose of the article is to identify new selection methods used by Polish companies during recruitment. The research goal will be achieved through the analysis of available theoretical sources and empirical research. The research process was carried out in 2017 and involved almost 260 people who participated in the recruitment process over the last 12 months and 10 managers of personnel from large enterprises in the Pomeranian and Western-Pomeranian Voivodships.
